Daily Schedule:

7:30 to 9:00: Child Directed Activities:
A variety of Child Directed activities will be offered daily incorporating a balance of subjects such as  Science, Math, Language and Art. In addition to these daily activities children will have the opportunity to explore the following learning centers:                          

Dramatic  Play

9:00 to 10:00: Teacher Directed Activities: Specific developmentally appropriate lessons will be offered at two activity tables which focus  on well rounded academic and developmental skills such as activities that encourage fine motor development, crossing 
the mid line for pre reading, spacial  relationships, counting, writing, storytelling art, science activities  etc. Children will have the option of participating in these activities or  continuing with  child directed learning centers. Children enrolled in Pre K  will have completed activities tracked on learning cards.

10:00 to 10:30: Art and Enrichment: 
Yoga and music classes  offered once a week and daily teacher directed art projects offered at this time.

10:30 to 11:00: Snack

11:00 to 11:30: Circle Time:
Calendar, Music, Movement, Topic, Meditation, Story
*Note: Younger children with shorter attention spans may leave circle time early

11:30 to 12:15: Outside Play

12:15 to 1:00: Lunch (Note: younger children may eat lunch and begin nap earlier)

1:00 to 1:30: Outside Play ( younger children will be taking nap at this time)

1:30 to 2:00: Bedtime Stories

2:00 to 3:30: Nap Time (If children sound asleep may sometimes go to 4:00 for wake up time.)

3:30 to 4:00: Snack Time 4:00 to 5:30 : Outside play (if it’s a really sunny day may go to 6:00)

5:30 to 6:00: Inside afternoon art projects and child directed learning centers

Enrichment

Music class offered once a week. Experienced music teacher Donna Cowan visits once a week to offer music classes featuring a variety of song, dance and musical instruments.

Yoga Class offered once a week with Susan Franke, our morning teacher.

Field Trips offered once a month to offer opportunities for more hands on multi sensory learning that support monthly themes such as Farm, Ocean, Transportation, Space etc.

Social Events: Harmony House offers a minimum of one social event a month where all families are encouraged to attend and experience their community. Events include multi cultural dinner, fantasy costume parties, winter holiday celebrations, Fathers Day BBQ, Mothers Day Tea and many more.

Date Night: Harmony House Offers one Saturday a Month from 6:00 to 10:00 as an opportunity for families to go out on dates while we spend time with the children at our center. Dinner is served for the children, followed by a Nature walk and a Movie. A movie snack is also served.

Parent Classes: Harmony House also offers parent workshops and classes at their transformative arts, healing center called The Conscious Collective which offers a wide variety of activities, classes and special events designed to support a healthy balance of mind, body and spirit for our community.

Habitat Center: The unique thing about this center is that will incorporate art,
science, social studies and geography. We will build the habitat environments such
as volcanoes, tee pees, jungle vegetation etc. using a variety of natural materials
and we will also tie in literature to inform and inspire imagination.
